On March 19, the opening ceremony of the GAC Technology Museum, a new landmark of Nansha District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province constructed by Guangzhou Municipal Construction Group Co., Ltd. (GMC for short), kicked off and was attended by Liang Huqing, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of GMC, and Wu Shihui, assistant to general manager of GMC.
GMC has incorporated curve patterns on the external facades of the museum in a scientific and innovative way, evoking the streamlined designs of GAC's sports cars. This unique architecture comprehensively shows the modern and sci-tech elements of the museum. GMC created an exhibition hall themed on "Digital Forest" to envision a green and low-carbon future and make the museum in line with green ecology.
Upon receiving the construction task on January 6, GMC quickly organized 12 subsidiary companies in design, construction, supervision, and other fields to assign nearly 1,000 highly skilled personnel to advance the project construction. It only took four days to complete the preparation work (access to water supply, electricity, and roads, and site grading), five days to finish 424 pile foundations, 13 days to complete the main building structure. Everyone at GMC was united in their effort to tackle the challenge.
The facility is a testament to GMC's efforts in implementing the Nansha Plan and the spirit of provincial/municipal high-quality development conferences. As the first Fortune Global 500 enterprise in the building industry of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, GMC will apply innovative building techniques and green, low-carbon building concepts to support Nansha's contribution to the integration of Hong Kong and Macao into China's overall development.
