At the beginning of February, good news pours in! The Guangdong Society of Civil Engineering and Architecture has recently announced the list of winners of Guangdong's civil construction technology innovation enterprises and outstanding technological workers in 2022. Sixteen enterprises under GMC won the title of "2022 Guangdong Civil Construction Technology Innovation Enterprise", and 34 persons won the title of "2022 Guangdong Civil Construction Outstanding Technological Worker".

In recent years, GMC has focused on enhancing the capacity of independent innovation in technology to provide strategic support for high-quality development in education, technology, and talents. It has vigorously developed a system of technological innovation platforms. At present, it has five national postdoctoral research stations, two provincial doctoral research stations, a national enterprise technology center, a national engineering center, 28 provincial engineering centers and 13 provincial enterprise technology centers. It strengthened the research investment. From 2019 to 2022, 169 key scientific and technological R&D projects were approved, with a subsidy and supporting investment of nearly RMB 800 million. It promoted enterprise-university-institute cooperation with an investment of RMB 35.2 million. It carried out enterprise-university-institute cooperation with well-known academician teams from universities such as Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Guangzhou University, and Shenzhen University, and held a number of academician forums at the same time. To introduce and develop high-tech talents, GMC implements the "global recruitment of 100 postdoctoral fellows", and actively looks for high-level talents through multiple channels, striving to create a favorable environment in which people with talent are easily identified, well valued and respected, and fully display their talent.
